I have the best dog in the world.
I'm torn about this because I hate change and love the Hairpin, but as someone who stalks your twitter and tumblr in addition to this site, I am also SO excited to see what comes next. <3 u (and melis and Edith and the 'Pin)
@truelove I am lucky in that it didn't have any lasting effects (I really don't have Lyme disease, and I didn't even get pinkeye or anything) but it will definitely be remembered as one of the Most Disgusting Moments of my twenties.
Last summer I had to pop a tick (that I had pulled off a dog at work) and I wrapped it in a paper towel and squished it, except somehow it was not properly contained in the paper towel, and tick juice/dog blood went all over my face and in my eye and I had to run to the bathroom and flush out my eye and contact lens. It was so traumatic. And now I'm worried that I'm incubating Lyme Disease.
I love Janelle Monae SO HARD and this is also very timely because I've been trying to convince my husband that I need a tuxedo, and that one at the end is super hot!
@iceberg Same here. It didn't even occur to me to use titles, even for people a generation or two older than me... but we got courthouse married and had a reception later, and the whole thing was pretty casual.
@Ophelia Same here. And I can ignore it on written documents but it REALLY bugs me in person. A few weeks ago I met one of my husband's coworkers for the first time and he said, "Ah! Mrs. HisLastName" and I deathglared deep into his soul and said, "It's MS. Fruitingbody" ... he was exceptionally nice to me for the rest of the evening.
@SarahP It might be okay! Just last week I dumped an entire mug of green tea on my laptop and it dried and everything was fine!
Although, maybe you should take it out of the bag of rice, remove the back and let it air out a little, before trying to turn it back on? I worry that sunshine + closed bag brings more humidity and condensation.
@frigwiggin My mom reads my twitter and had started emailing me questions about my tweets. I would lock my account but she would KNOW that I did it because of her, so, I just stopped drunk-tweeting and swearing and maybe if I'm boring enough she'll stop?
@Sam I am I'll be honest, I have always built muscle/strength quickly and it was really apparent in the first few months of trapeze that I was stronger than other people in the class. BUT I do think you should still try it, because, it's the most fun thing EVER, and circus people are the nicest in the world, and there are lots of really beautiful and elegant moves you can do without ever doing a pull-up. (And if trapeze doesn't work out, you might want to try hoop/lyra. It bruises worse but I think works better for people with less upper body strength)
