philosophy grad student and mom, living the dream in the woods in Michigan
@AniaGosia here it is: http://m.adc.bmj.com/content/early/2013/02/13/archdischild-2012-302941.short?g=w_adc_ahead_tab
I meant to write "lazy" but I also like the idea of being too "jazy"/jazzy to research.
@celeec4@twitter That has totally been my experience - I completely stopped buying anything "low fat" and it feels like a win/win - it's more delicious and I eat less because it's more satisfying. "Low fat" is totally a scam. I recently heard of a study that confirmed that too - don't know who did it & am too jazy to google right now, but something about how low fat foods don't decrease obesity because they're less satisfying and high in sugar. Which, duh!
@katiechasm Kale chips have been around for years! And they are so good with nutritional yeast. Even my vegetable hating toddler likes them. I think they're definitely a classic, or at least a "new classic".
@AniaGosia He turned out pretty well given the circumstances, I think. This pic is still from the hospital.
@Nicole Cliffe Ok, so now that it's almost a week later ... I finally had time to think about putting a picture up. It's a little nuts around here with a newborn and a toddler who just decided that the terrible twos are a real thing and my parents (who really are helping so much but also driving me nuts with the constant advice and commentary about my lifestyle!). But anyway ... here is the pic. Let's hope it works this time!
@allofthecrafts That is just so much to deal with at once! I hope your weekend has been a little better at least - preferably a lot better!
@HeckYes I just cut 8 inches of hair off to a slightly above the shoulders bob and I really love it. I showed my stylist a picture of Heidi Klum with a long bob as an example of what I wanted. It's super low maintenance - I never use any products other than shampoo/conditioner and it even looks cut if I just let it air dry.
@Nicole Cliffe It was totally ridiculous and my mind is still blown every time I think about it! Plus, my car is a tiny hatchback! I will try to remember how to do pictures.
I had my baby! And he was born in the car! It happened so fast - I thought we still had at least two or three hours to go, and then he was crowning ... My husband had just enough time to pull the car into a gas station, throw on the emergency break, and catch him. Plus he was born in the sac - so my husband removed it, handed him to me, and we drove the remaining 3 miles or so to the hospital - me clutching this tiny, bloody, cheesy baby.
His name is Oliver and we're both doing great now!
