On Go to Mars
@stuffisthings: Now I am trying to remember if A Scanner Darkly has a chase scene.

On Surprising Things About Armadillos
Male armadillos have a penis that is 2/3s their body length!

On "Baby shower help for non-broody Brit"
@wharrgarbl: I agree, the basic concept is fine, especially for a first child. I am not down with female only baby showers, though. You can have a co-ed shower (Expectant moms have male friends! Dads are parents too!) and still give pregnancy/birth-mother related gifts as well as the baby-centric gifts.

On Congratulations, Nevada
@RK Fire: Good call on the Envy=NV thing, which make me wonder if perhaps Essence-Faye is also a homophone. Like maybe a garbled way of saying US of A? Although I think it sounds more like SNS of A, in which case they are maybe just big Sons of Anarchy fans.

On Let's Name Some Planets
Couldn't we use binomial nomenclature as in biological taxonomy? The star could be the "genus" with the planets as "species."
Xena's still up for grabs, name-wise. Just sayin.

On Squash or Snuggle: Tardigrades
@Nutmeg: Basically they mean it's a very, very, viscous liquid. It hasn't crystallized or otherwise formed the more rigid bonds that would technically make it a solid.
Let me also add that tardigrades are awesome. So tiny yet so complex! So adorable yet so tough!

On Asking the Tough Questions
It's like you can't even play a innocent game of skkkrabble anymore without someone calling you a racist

On The Best Time I Met Vincent D'Onofrio
If you'd like to continue your D'Onofrio obsession and annoy your BF, I recommend the movie "Happy Accidents" where he plays a dude who may or may not be a time traveler. He's very good at straddling that line between "he's nuts, she should dump him" and "he's hot, she should jump him."

On So You're on the Pill and You See Something Awful
@MousesHouse: The first sentence is also completely wrong, in that it says women on BC remember the "emotional impact but not the details." The study actually reported that women on BC more accurately remembered the "gist" of the story, i.e. the big plot elements such as the boy going to the hospital, while the non-BC women better recalled details like the color of the hospital.

On Go to Mars
@stuffisthings: I agree! I was honestly worried that there was one in A Scanner Darkly and I had completely repressed it. I should really netflix that puppy; it's worth a rewatch.
