On Friday Bargain Bin: What to Do With Your Allowance This Week
@redheaded&crazie Haha, I had a (certified crazy) roommate tell me, upon meeting my sister, "Well, I guess she's the cute one in the family!" *disbelief face

@carolita Ha! I find that "Killing Me Softly" works best for me as an infinite loop song.

Carolita, I thought of your long bike ride story yesterday as I began to make the 2.5-hour long walk home from work, because I was too proud to ask my fancy co-workers for metro fare. (That same pride obviously does not extend to asking strangers for it 30 minutes into the walk)

@aheapingspoonful AND PROBABLY it'll be quicker/better this time, because you already know that you can get over him, and that you were feeling pretty rad about it the first time.

@JessicaLovejoy I find that a standard, "I brought my own bag, if you don't mind" is all it ever takes. If they don't mind they'll think you're silly for even saying that, and if they do mind, you've already excused your perceived eccentricity or inconvenience.
Then again, I'm from the South.

@oh! valencia Soap nuts! They work just fine, and after 4 or 5 washes, you compost them and use new ones. You'll occasionally end up with a couple in the corner of a fitted sheet, but really, what doesn't get lost on there? Also if you can't find the little fabric bag, you can just knot them in the end of a sock. #lazyhippietrix
