@stormageddon i will look for that book! whatever you do keep trying on preschools! i gave up and then k was a really tough transition for him. we had ALL THE MEETINGS with teachers, counslers, and principals. the only thing that seems to work with him is time outs for 5 or less minutes (counted from when the tantrum stops). rewards are def more effective than any punishment for sure.

@olivebee did his mom even warn you? damn. i used to bbsit a boy who was maybe 6 who had twin sisters who were 3. his mom was divorced. he used to throw these fits and i'd literally have to put him in his room and hold the door shut because he'd attack me, but it only happened a few times. his mom did NOT warn me and i just dealt with it. i was afraid she'd be angry with me so i never mentioned anything. :/

@stuffisthings and also - empathy can be unlearned. just tossing it out there that even good kids WITH Empathy can loose it. usually kids who come from abusive home.

@frigwiggin but this kid has obviously been to therapy, and he's learned the language. he sounds really smart. not to say he's not creepy and scary, but also - highly intellgent.

@ginalouise yeah, but even normal kids will stay stuff like that, "go have a time out for hitting your brother!"
"I DIDN'T DO ANTYHING!"
"go to your room for a time out and think about what you did!"
"I HATE YOU YOU LOVE HIM MORE THAN ME WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN ETCETEC"
not all the time, granted, but it's a kid thing.

@stormageddon i feel all of these feels bb! mad hugs out to ya!
and since i'm venting here my kid is giant (in terms of the little rascals think a tall spanky) and his size is frightening to people because they think such a large strong child is older and should be more mature. :/ i was a crazy ap mommy and carried my babies everywhere, but my son stopped being worn at about 1.5 because of his need to be moving everywhere and touching everything constantly. he started walking at 10 months, so at 1.5 he was RUNNING!
