On Transitions, Femme Baldness, and "INEXTINGUISHABLE PASSION"
@Infinite Jess Not all straight girls get to keep their moms, homophobic or not. Some straight girls' mothers give them shit because they think they're hiding the fact that they're queer even though those girls would fucking tell their moms if they were though maybe the shitty way those moms have no respect for their daughters' declared identity would be reason enough not to bring it up.
And some straight girls don't get to keep their moms regardless of any sexuality-related issues. So you can keep your blanket anger to yourself.

@The Everpresent Wordsnatcher I am against this motion, as I can only view the proper term to be "Wesleyed." From that standpoint, "Fredding" is a different thing entirely.

@She Saved The World, Alot All I have to say about this comment thread was that I was really bothered by your user name at first and actually imagined a person saying that line to an Alot to make myself okay with it. And then I looked at your avatar and thought, http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a324/martin_fierro/85521a2d.gif

On Quirks: Is Their Ignorance Our Bliss?
The last guy I dated told me I make a lot of cute noises when I'd hug or snuggle him. Apparently I'd make little "hmm"s and "hee!"s just all the time. He'd point it out every time and I'd get all self-conscious about it but he thought it was really cute. I wish that relationship had gotten anywhere; I really liked him.

@jackeemarie My roommate's cat is Ruthie but I ALWAYS call her Peanut. I have no idea why. I usually call my own cats by their actual names so it's not really a quirk.

@tea tray in the sky. My cousin says "meyuooovie" but I think that's Pittsburghese. Speaking of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4jn1L-riak
I grew up in western PA (within 2 hrs of Pittsburgh but with a completely different accent), and when I moved to Philly, I also got yelled at for mispronouncing Lank-ster. I've lived in PA my whole life and I have no idea how Wilkes-Barre is actually pronounced.

@lalaland My mom once told me flat-out that she couldn't care less if I never had a wedding. I was like, oh thank god, I'd been wondering how to tell you I have no intention of doing such a thing.
