@avocadosandwich I gotta say, I'm equal parts glad that my crooked-ass mouth got fixed up and that I didn't wear my retainer long enough for them to look perfect.
One of the sole benefits of patriarchy is that when I legitimately leave my CTA card at home, I can look cutely distraught and dude bus drivers let me go to work anyway. I don't abuse this, because I know that it's karmically related to the amount of times I get hit on my CTA bus drivers.
What I'm saying is, I'd prefer the fortune cookie route.
As someone who is ACTUALLY BOTHERING TO GET TRAINED AS A CONSERVATOR, my only reaction to this continuing legacy is "aaaaaauuuuuuuuuuurggggghh *whimper*"

@sophia_h I was lucky enough that while I stumped the ER, my PCP caught on and gave me an MRI, which as it lit up like a christmas tree, was a pretty definitive arrow to MS. But even that relatively short route took what felt like forever. (especially since my first relapse came with mobility issues)
I don't remember ANY of this book, but I do remember how I assumed, since I knew an Alonzo, that Almanzo was a Hispanic dude. And how awesome it was that there were Hispanic people on the prairie too, and that their stories were getting told, and that any of Laura and Almanzo's kids would be halfsies like me.
It was only a few years ago that I went on a wiki binge and was horrifically disappointed by his photograph.
So this explains the sudden teeth clenching around babies and things I cannot actually squeeze...
