On 32 Easy, Practical Weight-Loss Tips for Your Busy Schedule

@Canard Me too! (And there is a former Mormon on The Bachelorette right now who is kind of dreamy? So I just pictured this as happening to him.)

On The Good Ship Coachella

I've been on one of these music cruises and honestly, it was pretty awesome. Not exactly relaxing, as the parties/shows went on really late, but it's definitely the only way I'd do a cruise. And I don't know if it's because I'm used to expensive drinks, living in NYC, but my alcohol bill at the end was way lower than I expected.

On RIP, Nora Ephron

@HereKitty Yes! The quotes I included are from the first like 30 pages of the book. The rest of it is filled with many, many, many more.

On RIP, Nora Ephron

I started re-reading Heartburn on Sunday night. ‎"I'd rather be too New York than too anything else." "Show me a woman who cries when the trees lose their leaves in autumn and I'll show you a real asshole." She is the best.

On What, Me Buy?

@meetapossum I live in Sunnyside (ok, technically Woodside) and agree that Queens is nothing like Jersey! It's not my dream neighborhood but it's not bad and my apartment is pretty big.

@LittleBookofCalm I'm thinking Queens might be better for you. Closer to the Lincoln Center area and finding space for your piano near a subway in Brooklyn might not be easy.

On Happy Day After Valentine's Day

@HeyThatsMyBike There's a great New Yorker article from 1994 on Tonya Harding by Susan Orlean. It's the first New Yorker article I read in its entirety besides movie reviews. (PS Tonya Harding was the first American woman to land a triple Axel in competition, Midori Ito was the first overall.)

On Happy Day After Valentine's Day

Such a great surprise to see this...I still have dozens of VHS tapes filled with G&G performances at my parents' house. They were a huge part of my childhood/early teenage years. LOVE.

On Learning to Love Ben, Part Four

@AllyMcBLT They are wealthy (his mom's house was shown when he was on The Bachelorette and it was super nice). But that show also labelled him a "winemaker" when he was really in internet advertising sales. Oh and according to the reality show gossip websites I read, the real reason Samantha left is that she was into one of the show's producers (who is married).

On Learning to Love Ben, Part Three

When he was talking to his sister he said something along the lines of, "She's an accountant, but she's actually really pretty." Ugh Ben! And then trying to slow dance with Lindzi to a song called "Faster"? Dumb. (And I'll add myself to the chorus of people who have met Matt Nathanson and yes he is the nicest guy.)

On Learning to Love Ben, Part One

If you like Ben, google his name and Cream Dreams. He's no Andy Samberg, let's just put it like that.
