Wonderfully and horribly accurate.
Olivia Pope everything, please.
This is my exact plan for NYE.
@frigwiggin Major Tom! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_O3wgiymXg
@Lucienne The whole internet is celebrating! http://madmenunbuttoned.com/ is my favorite.
The person I'm seeing told me this last week (right before the first balloon Open Thread!):
"Fear is a balloon tied to the fence of your life . . . You can release it, and it remains there, decorating your fence, blocking your view of the world beyond. It's not until you examine the string (that looks totally different from the balloon and that you never consider to be part of the balloon) and trace it to its root to untie that you can ever truly let go of your fears."
@parallel-lines I always patch my tubes! Totally useful, doesn't take that long, and the patches hold longer than you'd think they will. (Of course, sometimes I have trouble sealing them properly, but probably just as much trouble as I have not pinching the tube.) Whateves, YMMV.
Ahhhhhh this is also my dream! In fact, I'm going to copy your trip. How many miles/day did you ride? What do you wish you'd done differently?
I've been thinking about getting a Surly too. I have a road bike, but I want something more suited for touring. If you were to buy a touring bike, would you stick with Surly?
This is so awesome. I want to ride away from my office right this second.
@Countess Maritza This sounds AMAZING. Where can I find it?!
@adorable-eggplant Thank you for the encouragement and for pointing out that, like any relationship, it's a growing process that requires faith in the person and time. It's not so different from a conventional relationship when I look at it through that light - and a whole lot less scary.
I SHOULD write a letter to the non-monogamous couple! Perhaps that will be my work procrastination choice for tomorrow.
