@stonefruit I have changed into pj's and said, 'well, going to bed soon!' and guests have not left. And I don't even serve Martha Stewart meals!
@Heather Funk I didn't realize it was two different bakeries. Growing up in Houston in the 80's, I sold Tagalongs and Samoas. Sometime in the 90's, all the names changed, and then only recently switched back. I figured it was some sort of rebranding and re-rebranding move.
@stuffisthings This is clearly a fake. New Zealand didn't even have printers until 2007.
@HereKitty Excellent, and informative, tags indeed
@bnna The New Yorker fiction podcast is so good, I wanna marry it. I also really enjoy the Longform.org podcast, which is interviews, but with journalists and editors, not necessarily the people you're going to hear on NPR each week.
@iceberg I said things were 'reachy' when I was a toddler. Well, actually, I still say it to my parents.
Oh, I like this movie a lot, but I really love Lola, also Jacques Demy, but minus singing.
@BosomBuddy Painting or DIY stuff for a new home is always a good idea. I bought my dad the new Barbara Stanwyck biography, and I got my mom some travel supplies - a kit that has a blanket, earplugs, and facemask and attaches easily to your luggage.
Many years ago, I had blood drawn before surgery, so that I could have my own blood put back into me. They had trouble finding a vein, so they tied a tourniquet thingy on my arm first. When they put the needle in, the result was pretty much the same as Erica here.
@GFY Heather Thank you (and the Hairpin) for the interview! Will we ever see the Peldons again?
