@SarahP nope people really do do that (see: the first juicebox i ever slept with)
See now my issue is: I am primarily friends with guys, more by accident than anything else (because okay: two years ago I had a huge falling out with my three closest friends who were all ladies - and so I started hanging out with another friend & her boyfriend heaps & their central social group was them and three other guys so I just got absorbed into that?)
I can maintain female friendships okay, it's the actual meeting new people and starting new friendships that I fail with :( most of my my best female friends live overseas (one is my BFF from high school & the other two are ~~internet friends~~)
New Zealand? Anyone? I'm gonna start a group later today, I hope someone out there is interested.
@frigwiggin Sitteneld is a very particular type of author who I do not like as a rule but I like her. She had a really great interview on Slate a while back with the woman who wrote The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
ahhhh I love American Wife. I love Cutis Sittenfeld I love this post. I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR.
@cat1788 Bro. I'm with you on that one hard water is the worst. I'm a kiwi and I spent 2 months in Germany when I was 16 & didn't know about hard vs soft water so I was so confused about why MY SHAMPOO NEVER WORKED. After 3 weeks my cousin emailed and was like baking soda paste. Which is not anything to do with this post and is not a long term solution (for me) but that's my Germany story of the day.
ALSO. I freaking love Köln (it will always be Köln to me) I hope you're having a great time!
@stuffisthings sorry dude, you got another eat-in-beder here. freaking love it. (NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH HATING IT, I get it, I hate crumbs in my bed so)
@iceberg YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I started using it & now my friends do and now friends of friends know what it means but don't use it. BUT. IT'S A START
@tessamae Oh, I have no problems getting revved up, it's like I build and build but can never quite get over the hill? If that makes sense.
@Cat Jail I suspect it is, which is why I'm finally looking into toys.
