Elfquest! God, I loved those comic books. I'm always amazed that anyone outside of my 5th grade geek squad of friends is even aware Elfquest exists.
@yourfriendlyneighbortothenorth Not to be bitchy, but what exactly does natural mean? Botox is natural (naturally produced from the bacterial Clostridium botulinum), the chemotherapy Taxol is natural (from the bark of the Pacific Yew tree), and so is the Digitalis you give to heart failure patients -- you could grow it in your yard. It is just a special pet peeve of mine when people say that natural remedies are safer, better for you, etc. Just because it came from a tree or a root or a berry doesn't mean it is good for you.

I once thought about egg donation. I was probably about 26, almost finished with an MD/PhD at one the best med schools in the country, newly married, and super broke. I figured with my educational background, and good health profile, my eggs would be pretty valuable. Nope! Why? Because I'm black, and black eggs get like 20 cents on the dollar compared to white eggs. That fact tells you so much about race in America -- no matter how smart, healthy and accomplished you might be, if you aren't white, you really aren't worth much in the eyes of this culture/economy.
