
Did you know that those ski trail maps are done by this one guy, James Niehues? It's all about finding a niche market.
Doesn't "Niehues" sound like it should be an entire school of painting?
He's a Niehues artist. The Niehues movement. Niehues imitators. Let's have lunch after we look at the Niehues. God, her loft is so faux-Niehues.

"Munch made four versions of “The Scream.” Three are now in Norwegian museums; the one that sold on Wednesday, a pastel on board from 1895, was the only one still in private hands. It was sold by Petter Olsen, a Norwegian businessman and shipping heir whose father was a friend, neighbor and patron of the artist."
Four versions, eh? Lesson: cut those annoying friends of your parents' some slack. Edvard Munch was a violently psychotic alcoholic who had to undergo electroshock therapy, but it was softened a bit by his resemblance to Paul Newman. (If only they'd known this in the 1880s!) • The Toy Fair isn't for kids. The show's held yearly at the Javits Center, Manhattan's main convention facility (a.k.a. massive gray box), and it's full of serious adults in business suits with corporate accounts. It's not supposed to be fun. We'll see about that!
• Toy Fair badges are only available for pros, so my boyfriend's mom generously registered me and my friend Tim as employees of her chia seed company. My badge says "CHIA POWER/Assistant Buyer." We'll avoid walking by chia products for fear of having to hold our own in a chia conversation.
