Story by Jane Hu, illustrations by Hallie Bateman.
Based on very true events.
Hallie Bateman is not a disgusting monster that does art for PandoDaily and The Bygone Bureau and she certainly does not live in Brooklyn. She's never tweeted in her life.
Jane Hu is a writer living in Montreal.

I love this! Awesome.
This is glorious. Bilingual "croissant" cracked me up.
@Apocalypstick That part was phenomenal.
@Apocalypstick Sexy paperwork.
I love this comic. So perfectly illustrates That Crush.
I also love the Hairpin's new spam.
Prophets, witch doctors, shamans > friend's moms making 80,000/yr working from home.
ahahahahahahaha the picture of Jane teetering off the edge of the treadmill ahahahahahahahaha you two broke me im broken now
more adventures with the Gym Man, s'il vous plait!
i have to say, Mlle Hu, is it gratifying to see one's city--Montreal--name-checked and used as background in an austere publication like The Hairpin! :-) Je vous souhaite de la tres bonne chance avec votre amour discret au gym. <3
LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERY BIT OF THIS.
I really wanted to see the Jane character fall off the treadmill in the other direction (face first), like I have imagined happening to me so many times before. I suppose that would make it hard to fall into Gym Man's arms, though.
