Album "Review": Waxahatchee's 'Cerulean Salt'

Have you been enjoying Waxahatchee's Cerulean Salt? Times music critic Jon Caramanica called her first album, American Weekend, one of the best of 2012, and then this Pitchfork review of her second album tipped me over, and now I'm listening, and it's great. You heard it here forty-fifth. (iTunes)

Yes! I listened to this non-stop when NPR had it streaming as a "First Listen" and now that it's on Spotify, I've been streaming it non-stop there until I can swing by the record store and get a copy in person. Everything the Crutchfields touch literally turns to highly emotional gold -- I can't recommend P.S. Eliot and Swearin' enough.

Swearin' are so, so good.

Are we sure this isn't one of the New Pornographers songs that Neko Case sings? (Nonetheless it is excellent!)

I saw her play a couple of times, and it was pretty much watching an entire room fall in love with her. Swearin' played the second show, too, and were just as amazing...now I'm just bragging. Anyways, go see her live, it will melt you into a puddle of feelings.
