Things to Do Without Hard-Boiled Eggs

"Think of it as an avocado-based Scotch egg."
—Done. And if someone in Chicago orders this dish from Gosu in Logan Square tonight, can they please also beam it outward and rain it down over New York? I can wait on the roof until 9 a.m. tomorrow. Thank you!

Ahhhh! I pass by that every day! They have a $30 for two people lunch/dinner special Monday-Thursday, so we should probably have an even-numbered 'Pinup!

@mayonegg ME TOO! $30 for two people is a great deal - and I've literally never been in here. Now I'm definitely trying it.

@mayonegg I live in Logan Square. We just need one more person to make a foursome happen.

@Theda Baranowski Why, hello, there.

@aphrabean Also, I can speak to the wonderfulness of Gosu. It's a delight.

@mayonegg I think we should all go and report back to Edith with pictures.

@mayonegg me too, please. Though I guess that makes us an odd number again?

@mayonegg Whoa, hey, I walk by it all the time too. I want in on this excursion!

@mayonegg I'm willing to commute aaaaalll the way from Edgewater.

that sounds like a good deal for 30 bucks.

@mayonegg I'd show up from Lakeview.

@ImASadGiraffe As would I! It's only a bus or two. is that place new? didn't there used to be another sushi place there?

@Amphora Hachi's Kitchen is right next door, and has excellent sushi. I understand the confusion!

@aphrabean Yes! thank you, it is confusing. There are too many fantastic places to eat in that neighborhood.

Rock and Roll Ken Doll

Okay so are we going or not?? Maybe I'll start a thread in the meet-ups list?

@Rock and Roll Ken Doll Let's do it!

Rock and Roll Ken Doll

What about I bring it up on FOT, along with a reminder about bowling and the book club?

@Rock and Roll Ken Doll Yes! cause I can't make either of those this month.

Literally salivating at my desk right now

I LOVE GOSU. Every time I get sulky about Chicago, I think, "Well, at least I can get wonderful bebimbap delivered right to my door."

@aphrabean But why would you ever get sulky about Chicago? Is it the fact that it was NINE DEGREES WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING?

Theda Baranowski

I'm also stuck in glasses because the air is so dry that my eyes have told my contact lenses to go fuck themselves and die.

@mayonegg HA. Yes. And also I come from a pleasant and temperate clime, populated with waterfalls and mountains and the adjustment has been. . . difficult. Shall we say.

@aphrabean Also we have a whole restaurant that is themed around Goat? Don't be sulky about Chicago! The only thing I don't like about the 9 degrees is my HAIR is SO WEIRD. And everything sticks to everything with it's crazy static-ness.

@Olivia2.0 You make a compelling argument! Also, fireflies. And Logan Square in the summer is a pure delight. But the winter hair! I'm waiting to get a haircut just so I'll know what it'll look like once it's not a ball of static.

@Olivia2.0 LITTLE GOAT OH MAN I seriously have a Restaurant To-Do List 30 entries long.

@Amphora I just went there a couple of weekends ago and it was heavenly! Get the nachos, thank me later.

Fantastic! Love & Respect!!@n

I think the food comic blog I Think You're Sauceome reported on this place a while ago? Anyway. I love Sauceome. And maybe Chicago should reserve it's tasty avocadoness for itself, and some enterprising restaurant person in NY will just have to industrial espionage the place to get the recipe?
