The Week of January 14 - 18

In case you missed it ...

- Advice: A Married Dude on gift-exchanges and affection. And the wonderful Pauline Phillips, a.k.a. Dear Abby, died on Wednesday. As a silly tribute, here's a note I wrote her but never sent.

-  And she shall name him Safety-on-high Snat: Your 2013 Baby Name Guide, Puritan Edition, Part Two.

- Interviews: mourning jewelry expert Sarah Nehama, artist Aakash Nihalani, and Drynuary's John Ore at halfway.

- "Do You Like My Hat?" and other Guaranteed, Low-Effort Toddler Games.

- A beauty Q&A on the longest of hair, or how to look more like a croissant.

- "1. Wait until April, when the ground softens...": Getting the Body You've Always Wanted.

- Featured poet Brenda Shaughnessy's "Visitor."

- "If You Were a Hyperlink." <–

- Reviewing Claire Bloom's Leaving a Doll's House.

- And a conversation about books and money, parts one and two.

Stay warm this weekend, and we'll see you back here on ... Tuesday!

EDITH that is SO CUTE!

That letter is so you, and adorable. Have I ever told you about that Dear Abby letter I'm still searching for? About the old couple that never lived together, always had separate apartments till death? That I wanted to model my life after? I actually wrote to Dear Abby last year, to ask for help in finding it, but as I didn't have an exact date, they couldn't help me. I'm gonna have to spend some time at the microfiches searching through the mid to late 70s for it!

iPhone comes in three storage sizes: 16, 32, and 64GB. The term “GB” stands for gigabytes. The more gigabytes you have, the more content you can store on your iPhone — apps, games, photos, HD videos, music, movies, and more. If, for example, you have a large music or photo library or you frequently download HD movies, it’s a good idea to consider an iPhone with a larger storage capacity. If you have a relatively small music or photo library or rarely make or buy movies, an iPhone with a smaller capacity may be better for you. Of course, over time you will accumulate many things on your iPhone, so you’ll want to think about how your storage needs may evolve.
