Appity Rap, Rappity App

80 Bites is an app, or a diet, err I mean not a diet, but like a... plan? Who cares? Point is, if you're gonna continue promoting your products with raps, lame American companies, this just set the bar a lot higher.

I'm only interested if the raps are by MC Rappy Fresh.

Also, I don't know what the little pink dude is supposed to be, but he sort of looks like two disembodied boobs attached together.

@fondue with cheddar I thought he was a pink condom in the screenshot.

@KatnotCat Yeah, he does look like a condom when you only see the top half.

I get sort of a Deltron feel from this, and I don't not like it.

I didn't really want to like this, but the subtle fresh prince visual won me over.

That was pretty good, but let's talk about the greatest (and I think totally earnest?) rap about healthy eating ever by Dead Prez:

I don't think dead prez ever does anything tongue-in-cheek.

Does anyone else think that 80 bites of food sounds very little? I mean, I've never counted my bites, but I feel like I might get 80 out of a normal size bowl of popcorn or something. If I only get 80 bites in a day, I feel like I'd just start taking a lot bigger bites.

@professionalmess Yup, I laughed and thought to myself: that's not nearly enough bites!

Between this and the article earlier this week about the woman who wrote a book about making her daughter loose weight and then posing her for a vogue photoshoot, I feel like an absolute revolutionary for being unabashedly unashamed about how much I love eating.

I downloaded this app last year after reading about it in some email newsletter. Surprisingly, it wasn't that hard to stay under 80 bites most days, and I didn't feel like I was dieting. BUT, at least in the version I used, the app counts the time between bites and gets a little passive aggressive. For example, eat the first bite, click the button (yes - it's super annoying to have to click a button on your phone after every single bite of food all day long), and the app says something like, "Yum, lunch time!". If you click that second bite too quickly, it will say, "it's ok, everyone eats fast at first". By the third or fourth bite, the little bastard is saying, "eating too fast stretches your stomach and will lead to weight gain. Slow down." I tried once just clicking through all the bites in one sitting; as you get closer to 80, it gets meaner. it's like a disordered eating app that you pay for! Needless to say, I deleted it in less than a week. Don't waste your money - rap song or not.

The cover that they offer here is so good. You are able to get so much from the great design here. I just love what they offer with it. Great job on this.
