Purity Ring, "Lofticries"

Pitchfork got the first look at Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring's latest video, which starts out and continues spooky, in keeping with the band's ... ghostpan (ghostly deadpan?) vibe. Shrines, their beautiful and creepy-catchy second album, is out now. (See also: "Fineshrine.")

am I the only one extremely confused by the video?

@theotherginger I've watched it twice now and I'm just more confused.

Ghostpan is a great word for them. The Ghostpan Grandchildren Of The Knife. I love the Belispeak II track with Danny Brown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpdyGFmct78

Love Megan James and her weird, haunting songs!

I really like the song, but didn't even really watch the video. What I did see were a lot of dead bodies though...

Did this band *want* to get mixed up with the Promise Ring?

Amanda10

The song is cool but I don't understand much about the video.

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read much more, thanks for that info. madeira palsticaBr

Those purity rings are the best. It will remind them to stay away from the bad things. - Kris Krohn Strongbrook
