I was actually enjoying the RIGHTEOUS ANGER of the comments on this, until the “LOL women, menstruation, ur all on the rag”, “boohoo liberal political correctness”, and “you guys just can’t handle the truth” nonsense-trolls found it (approx. 5 comments in).

@Marzipan But you know what I say, emphasis on the “correct” part of liberal political correctness, eh, guys, amiright? Ziiiiiiiiiing!

You make a good point.@k

It appears the article has been taken down. Just as well. From what I can glean from this post, I would have had to find time for a ragefit in my morning, and I am too busy laughing alone with salad, bitching about swimsuit shopping, and wiping up giant Cathy-sized sweatdrops while shouting ACK!

@TheLetterL There's gotta be a copy of it somewhere.

@fondue with cheddar "After further review it was determined that some elements of the story did not meet the editorial standards of CNN."

@dinos That's how you know it's bad.

Damn. I wanted to read it so I could get all my righteous anger out on the interwebs and just be done with it for the day.

I know it's not fake hormone science, but I'm going to leave this here Precocious kids are always a good foil for nonsense.She's going to be on Q on CBC radio 1in Canada (EST) this morning.

Is the Midol an ingredient in the shots or an additional thing? Because that's a great way to deal with PMS.

@fondue with cheddar I thought thwe same thing. Midol Jello shots!Perhaps served in a chocolate cup.

@iceberg Brilliant.

More things should definitely be served in chocolate cups. Y'know...because it's good for the environment.

@fondue with cheddar Came down here for this. Left happy. 5/5 would jello shoot again.

@The Everpresent Wordsnatcher Now we know what to bring to the next 'Pinup.

I know one of the people quoted in the article (look up the news coverage of the article)! Ha! small world!

Also, fuck you Donald Trump, you disingenuous, lazy-ass, racist piece of shit.

I saw a real sciencey thing with ovulation this morning when there was a video on the BBC of an egg being released that looked nothing like I expected it to look and has proved that I am getting increasingly squeamish as time goes by.

@teaandcakeordeath Will it be weird if I ask for a link? (I love seeing shit like that)

@teaandcakeordeath seconded on a link please! (I also love seeing how weirdly violent the human body is.)

Here it is!
Not to be gross but it looks like an angry zit.

@teaandcakeordeath It totally does! Now every time I have mittelschmerz I'm going to think of my ovaries popping a tiny, tiny zit.

@teaandcakeordeath Ohmygod yes, it does! But that is so cool. I feel like a little alien being with all these eggs inside me, popping out during ovulation. The body is cray.

@teaandcakeordeath oh god it totally looks like an angry zit! ew, but cool at the same time!

I love the term mittelschmerz!

Weirdly the alien idea soothed me. Maybe I'm a little cray.

@teaandcakeordeath I got so excited to see some of the stills on Facebook yesterday. It makes me feel like a giant alien mother ship releasing little TIE fighters or something. Pashew-shew *laser sounds*

@bird I totally get mittelschmerz sometimes but I didn't realize this was a thing, like, with a name and stuff!!!
Thanks for making me feel like this is a thing that I shouldn't need to panic about. :-D

This article is my favorite reaction piece so far, especially the picture at the end. "What if there’s an accident at the hormone factory and we wind up electing Michael Fassbender and doing unspeakable things to Medicaid? You never know what might happen."

@VDRE Yes, this! "What a relief that men have no hormones. "
