"The 50 most crucial moments in the history of white women rapping."
women, history, rap
I hope Blondie's in there.
@SarahP SHE'S NUMBER ONE!
Of course it's you, Spin.
I'm loving all the puns in Yeastie Girlz.
That Lady Sovereign album is better than you think it is.
I'm weirdly put out that Spin doesn't acknowledge Sirah has an album of her own.
No Victoria Aitken?
(Daughter of British former MP. Years ago I saw her on a television programme attempting to rap with a song called "Vicky From The Yacht". It was some of the worst second-hand embarrassment of my life. Her website says that "She is renowned in England for her tongue and cheek [sic] lyrics", however, so what do I know.)
I thought it said "white girl raping" and i got REALLY freaked out -- but still clicked the link? What? IDK more wine needed.
I'm just excited anytime someone other than me or my husband acknowledges the existence of the White Rapper Show (...which was awesome; RIP; may it finally eventually be released on DVD someday).
