Who are you going to trust in this handy guide to dressing for Oktoberfest? Hats with feathers are IN, that's for sure. Speaking of feathers, photo number two here looks so good.

I want one of the little feather hats so bad, you guys, with some fitted lederhosen and the super-long socks. And then I want to walk around with a turkey leg in one hand and a hard cider in the other and enthusiastically toast things.

I don't even like beer but that looks pretty fun. Plus I will take any excuse to wear hats with feathers in them, because everyone knows those are the best kind of hats.

The only notable thing I've ever worn to Oktoberfest was a giant pretzel costume, to promote my high school's German club.


Should a non-German visitor to Oktoberfest wear traditional Bavarian costumes as well? Won't I look even more out of place?
