The Power of Bacon

There are three rules for executing a successful Celine Dion parody.

1. Ya gotta have the pipes.
2. Commit. Commit. Commit.
3. Study the original.

If you haven't read it, Celine Dion's Let's Talk About Love: A Journey to the End of Taste is a masterpiece.

I'm Right on Top of that, Rose

What a ham.

/this is ridiculously spot on.

Actually mesmerized for the bacon of course; of course !! Great job !!!@v

Louise

wait... who greases the pan with BUTTER before cooking bacon???

Nicole Cliffe

@Louise Hell, it gave me ideas. But I have a high tolerance for dietary fat.

@Louise I was wondering this too, but then again, I learned to cook bacon over the fire on family camping trips, and then we'd use the grease to cook the over-easy eggs, and maybe even a dab of toast... I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

I'm going to send this to my friend who keeps kosher-ish, but secretly loves it when there's bacon in something there isn't supposed to be bacon in. (The key is not to ask... If you don't know, it's still ok, according to his kind of kosher-ish.)

I wish I had a good singing voice. This is how I would use it, to bring mirth to the millions.

Cha dTuigim

Oh hey, I went to high school with her! We were in Women's Studies together, and all.

Nicole Cliffe

@Cha dTuigim KCVI! I went to Regi. (Anna is my cousin.)

TheCheesemanCometh

Genius. And now I'm starving. If only we werre a bacon library...

I had to click on the Celine link, because watching this I kept wondering "does she really constantly stroke herself awkwardly?" Yes, folks, yes she does.

Also I'm reminded of an exchange once that I found pretty hilarious.
Vegans camping next to us: have you ever tried vegan bacon? It's pretty good!
friend at my camp: have you ever tried real bacon? It's fucking awesome.

Steven

@insouciantlover And yet somehow the impression that it's vegetarians and vegans who are the unbearable assholes persists.

schrodingers_cat

@insouciantlover Oddly enough, it is pretty good. Not as a bacon substitute, but as a bacon-flavoured snack. It tastes a lot like bacon flavoured potato chips.

insouciantlover

@Steven I think being an asshole is pretty equal opportunity regardless of what one eats.

insouciantlover

@schrodingers_cat I agree! It is pretty good. But the texture, you're right, it's more pringles than greasy delicious pig fat.

2:06. 2:06 is the epitome of vocal commitment.

This is also good advice for life in general!
Or at least karaoke.
