Facebook Friends Are Forever

You love your Facebook friends so much, right? They all mean the world to you. There is Alice, the quiet girl that you vaguely remember from camp, and then there is Morgan, the guy that sat next to you at that weird office where you worked six years ago. In conclusion, you are super tight with all of them, and you want to think about them at all hours of the day and night. Well, the best way to do that is to follow the example of this woman in the Netherlands: Tattoo pictures of them all on your arm. And then the most awesome thing is that even if someone de-friends you, you'll always have them right there — staring back at you, reminding you that you were in some way objectionable enough as a person that they no longer wanted to have even the most casual of electronic contact with you. Yayyy!

I was very surprised that the link didn't go to The Sun.

Good lord make it stop already.

That tattoo artist lady is a FOX. I really can't think of anything I would want on my body forever (including but not limited to the faces of everyone on my friends list) but, like, if my tattoo lady looked like that, I would reconsider.
"Um... can you just give me the tiniest tattoo you have? Like one dot. On my inner thigh, where nobody can see it. Whoops, looks like I'm pantsless..."

@Napoleon And she's dressed like she's starring in a hit action movie where she plays an elite assassin/thief!

Should we even get into the issue of changing profile pictures? We shouldn't, it goes without saying.

Good thing she didn't do it during some cartoon character/ celebrity lookalike profile pic fad.

I have to admit that it looks really cool. But then, I am a sucker for sleeves... and apparently coloured pictures in a grid. That said... really?!?

I would like to know how old this woman is.

@illcommunication I agree. Aesthetically, I think it looks really cool. It would have probably worked better with "here are 152 of my favorite vertical paintings," though it would not have been as good fodder for social media blogs.

So, unrelated to this post, but Hey! The Hairpin is one of Time's best blogs: http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,2075431_2075447_2075481,00.html

Oh man!! I am totally reactivating my account now! This is soooo cooool. I knew something was missing from my life, and now I know what it is. How much arm space do you think 45 "friends" takes up? I know! I'll just make their faces really big!

so what?

i call bullshit. why is there no bleeding, no redness, no swelling? plus the end result just looks like temporary tattoos.

@so what? It was all a lie. Now it's more interesting as conceptual art, as the nature of facebook friendships disintegrates over time, like temporary tattoos, or some bullshit like that. http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2011/06/facebook_friends_tattoo_is_an.php

Cay-ray-zy! Also, is that tattoo artist Brooke Shields, or what?

Whoa that's some serious dedication right there :D Tattoos with fb friends haha.
Never thought I should see that working facebook password hack coming though.
