The Planets Are Trying to Tell Us Something

"During this month of May, four bright planets will engage in a fascinating dance with each other in the morning sky. Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter will be involved in a series of conjunctions, joined at the end of the month by a very thin, waning crescent moon. We could even refer to this as a 'celestial summit meeting,' or more precisely, a series of summit meetings during May 2011. Twice during May three planets will converge to form a 'trio.'"
Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter are having their threesome on May 11 (tomorrow); and then Mercury, Venus, and Mars are having theirs on May 21. What will they do? I know what I would do — Mars.

What's that baby attached to (I think) Mars' leg...?

@ailimebkwds3: And why is he in wheelchair?

@ejcsanfran I think he's sitting on a keg?

Marry, boff, kill?

Anna Marquardt

@kimberly d Marry Jupiter, because of the all-encompassing power, etc; boff Mars, because hottttt; kill Mercury because I don't like that hat; kick it with Venus because she probably knows where all the good parties are

I thought this was The Plants Are Trying To Tell Us Something. That something is, at least in my case, "water meeeee."

Thank you, Hairpin, for reminding me that I have a desk fern.

This is NOT helpful, unless someone would care to give us an astrological break down. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Damnit, now I'm just NERVOUS.

So the threesome consisting of Mercury, Venus and Mars will bring about about the end of the world? Because I heard the rapture is happening May 21.

@QuiteAimable Make it a foursome and I could think of worse ways to spend the last days.

That's a really weird version of the Time Warp.

So what does this mean for the levels of crazy I normally experience?

Sensory Homoncula

the ancient dudes & alchemy dudes believed that each planet vibrated on its own frequency, forming a musical note. when the planets lined up, all three notes play at the same time. This is called Harmony of the Spheres, or consonant-trainwreck: Syzygy, a straight line configuration of three celestial bodies
