Who's Hottest?
Remember the study from yesterday that said women are "least attracted to smiling men, instead preferring those who look proud and powerful, or moody and ashamed," and that men "are most sexually attracted to women who look happy, and least attracted to those who appear proud and confident"? Yes you do! Well, these (and ones like these) are the pictures the study asked its 1,000 participants to evaluate. Neutral guy, do you come here often?
(Also, men, if you want to use this and additional woman-attracting data to scientifically win a girl's heart, "try moodily slumping, wildly flailing your arms and sporting head-to-toe red attire while casually pointing out your deftly-placed scar on your chiseled, macho face," advises Erik Hayden.)

Ashamed? This must be my lucky day because I'm totally full of shame!
but what will life be like if I can't believe random internet studies? I picture a barren wasteland, void of even psyhology today.
Hottest Guy: The prideful one because ohemgee look at his fucking arms gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Hottest Girl: Toss-up between happy and prideful.
Also, I would like it if the girl's shirt was more form-fitting. I feel like the guy's is respectively a teensy bit more form-fitting, which helps make him more attractive to me overall. I would find her more attractive if she didn't look like she had the fashion sense of a fourth grader from the 90s.
@wee_ramekin This is why the girl's prideful one is the best, because her shirt is stretched more tightly!
@wee_ramekin the baggy clothing was intentional, so that people didn't decide based on body type. Forces you to focus on expression.
@melis Woah! I didn't even notice that! I guess I am not a breasts-lady. At ALL.
@j-bird Ahhhh, that makes sense. And yet totally didn't work in the "prideful" one (see above comment about drool-worthy arms…).
There has got to be a better way to indicate "pride."
Wow I had no idea that my mood could change my breast size and T-shirt style so much!
Both prides show off nice arms (and rack for the lady), so toss up between pride and happy. Smile more, it's free and brightens people's day.
I like how, in the interest of science, the researchers opted for squarely comely instead of blatantly attractive.
@Tim Tracy "squarely comely" is so something Rachel from "Just As Long As We're Together" would call someone.
Why did they make them both wear the same t-shirt? Plaster a logo on that thing and that poor lady could be doing her Saturday charity thing running a 5k somewhere or repainting a house. Also shame lady looks like she is embarrassed because she totally escaped from the hospital.
I'm thinking maybe happy guy was considered unattractive cause his smile looks forced and therefore creepy. Smize, dude, smize.
Did someone ask for a statistical analysis of love?
@leon.saintjean i want to help you with this. furreal.
@empem email me!
'Pride' is less proud and more "I'll get you He-Man!" (as said by Skeletor)
I prefer shame on both genders… what does that say about me?
Neutral man and neutral woman are the hottest. Emotions are just such a turn-off, amirite?
@insouciantlover: Blume was clearly on to something.
Judging from that photo, the results of this study show that women aren't attracted to men doing an impression of Jack Nicholson in the scene from The Shining where he's chasing his wife around with an axe.
i first heard that report yesterday and was all "omg thatswhyimsingle! too proud and confident!!!!" as if. after seeing these photos, its obvious why the "proud" ones got rated lowest, hella awkward pose?
