Used Car Salesman Proves the Stereotype About Used Car Salesmen Is True

Hmm, help me out: is this a bad premise for a car ad or the worst premise for a car ad? I guess it'd be even more offensive if it read, "I don't know about you guys, but I like my cars the way I like my women: broken in!" Or how about, "When it comes to cars and women I am totally fine with sloppy seconds." Or no, this: "I don't care how many people have hit this thing. As long as it's still running and it's cheap, I'll take it." (Also, Dale is Canadian? I thought they were supposed to be so polite…)

I don't like my women like I like my cars, because how do you roofie a car?

saythatscool (#202)

On the other hand, I like to keep both of them locked in the garage with the top off.

Hello side of boob.

Elizabeth Berkley is hurting for work.

The worst part is, it's not even original. It's a copy of this BMW ad you may have seen: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_50Yky11UmpQ/TB9sVpvW8AI/AAAAAAAAABQ/4zpmb1lCXqM/s1600/bmw+sexist.jpg

theharpoon (#2,578)

Where is Spates? I was expecting a Spates comment here. SPAAAAAATES?????

melis (#841)

We need a #SPATES signal!

theharpoon (#2,578)

@melis I know, that should really be a website feature, right? Once I told him I loved him but he didn't reply :(

I like that they're inserting the @[a person] thing though to make replies clearer, good going, Hairpin!

Good ad in that you're probably more likely to look at it and think about it than any other used car ad you'd see. AWFUL AD in that it reinforces the ridiculous, old, but still fairly relevant/widely held idea that a woman's "value" decreases the more she's had sex.

Okay, what if she had an eyepatch, that works in ads!

Only…would that mean the car was missing a headlight?

sp8ce (#2,981)

As long as she still has that new car smell.

theharpoon (#2,578)

@spates YAY

wonderland (#4,927)

Haha. I don't know why her armpit doesn't say, "Women don't buy cars, right?"
