Barbie Collecting: "Better Than the Stock Market"
Because "when the stock market crashes, what do you have? Nothing." Whereas with Barbie investing, "at least you have your beautiful dolls." A lost gem from the archives, cobbled together by the devoted indoor people over at Everything Is Terrible.

Weirdos
I never owned a doll in my life but I read this book Forever Barbie. Barbie was one of the first products to use focus groups and psychoanalytic research to exploit peoples insecurities. Much of the way women are advertised to owes a lot to this guy, Dichter.
@zidaane And maybe also Edward Bernays? Just a guess, since he is supposedly the evil godfather of PR and advertising.
"Indoor people" is such a good way to describe them.
What does it matter how much they are worth. Not a single one of those people are ever going to sell their Barbies.
@kitten_witawip Good point.
@kitten_witawip Maybe pimp them out?
