The New American Wine Glass

News you can use: The Starbucks Trenta cup can hold an entire bottle of wine. And although the Starbucks Trenta cup technically holds more liquid than the average human stomach, I know for a fact that the average human stomach can hold a bottle of wine, so all is well. Plus the straw could help with teeth stains. And if you got a bendy straw you could drink it lying down, and it would be like you were playing hospital with yourself.

Do they charge for cups like in movie theaters? A friend wants to know.

I swear your comment was not there when I also wrote "A friend wants to know," which is awesome.

Is playing hospital with yourself anything like playing doctor with yourself? A friend wants to know.

I have to agree, my stomach can also hold a bottle of wine. Maybe more. Sadly, the next day, I find it can't hold anything, not even toast or undercooked eggs or even a coffee. How does that work?

AND you have the special cache of carrying around a Starbucks cup, which means you are totally a first-world drunk!

Makes driving easier!

I was about to say "perfect for the car!"

The most satisfying wine to drink with a straw is champagne. Um, according to my.. friend.

I just wish it were opaque. The only way I survived the Macy's Thanksgiving parade a few years ago was a big Starbucks cup of wine.

I this that people are forgetting how much space the ice takes up in a cup. Really, with the ice, it's not so much liquid.

i have been doing this for years and years

Nalgene bottles also hold a whole bottle of wine and are more opaque, so it's less obvious that it's wine. Also, reusable! Of course, i heard all this from a friend, so. . .

campione (#2,864)

They also hold a can and a half of Joose. I heard that from my friend too…

Tell your friend to *call me

Nalgene – I can verify that.
Opaque cups – My old boyfriend used to get the biggest possible Gulp of Diet Pepsi from 7-11 every morning. That cup was bigger than his head; it would definitely fit a bottle of wine.
